A map of Jalnar.
Overview
Jalnar (JAHL-nar) is the homeworld of the . It is the second planet from the in its solar system. It has two moons, , its smaller blue moon, and , the larger red moon. Jalnar is approximately 65% water and 6% ice. The planet is heavily forested, and surprisingly abundant in natural and mineral resources. Overall, it is very much like , although the gravity on the planet is almost 10% less. The planet is composed of four continents: , , , and .

The visible light that reaches the planet from the sun is only about 70% of that of Earth, making the planet relatively darker. The total energy from the sun is about 80% of that of Earth, with the extra 10% mostly being ultraviolet and infared light (which means are advised to wear sun block while visiting the planet). However, all forms of plant and animal life on Jalnar are adapted to the smaller amount of visible light, including the Kha'rlar, who require less light to see clearly.

Due to differences in the atmosphere, the planet retains heat better than Earth, and as such, the temperature is similar to Earth in the early 21st century.
Ahnra Continent
Ahnra (AHN-ra) is composed of a large cluster of islands to the west of and . The climate is consistently tropical. It is warmest in the south, where it is nearest to the equator. The continent is home to a vast variety of species, though most are . Some of the most spectacular species come from this continent, and due to the isolation from the rest of the world for some time, inhabitants have a distinctly unique set of cultures. The continent is (in)famous for having the greatest variety of still commonly in use.
H'nasu Continent
H'nasu (HEH-nah-soo) is the southern-most continent of Jalnar. It is composed mostly of ice and snow. Due to the extremely harsh climates, very few races inhabit the continent.
Si'enta Continent
Si'enta (see-EN-tah) is the southern of the two large land masses. It is populated primarily by species. The northern part, which connects to , is largely swamplands. Jungles and swamps cover the eastern part of the continent. To the western half are primarily rocky areas and mountainous regions. The west is populated primarily by burrowing reptilians. (mostly gryphons) sparsely populate the region. , perhaps the most rare and unique of all the races, are found in this area. The southern-most area of the continent is generally avoided by reptilians due to the colder climates. However, small numbers of species inhabit the region.
Ternari Continent
Ternari is the northern of the two large land masses, and it is the home of the majority of races (mostly ). It is largely covered by forests, jungles, and a few grasslands. In the central area, there is a notable large desert. The the very north is primarily tundra. The far northeastern area has a strangely straight coast.

states that an ancient race with suspicious similarities to the Atlantians of used to live there, but eventually, they became corrupted and power-hungry, and soon forgot about the . The spirits abandoned them and one of the gods, who was particularly angry, used a blade to cut across the entire land, causing the area inhabited by the race to sink beneath the sea. Only a few areas peak above the ocean as islands east of the coast. In ancient times, these islands were considered cursed and avoided at all costs. Even in modern times, they are generally avoided due to an unusually large amount of dangers and an exceedingly high percentage of deaths of the few explorers who go there. The islands still remain a mystery in most aspects.
